What Is Support |
| By support we mean that you have someone to turn to for help, someone to answer your questions and provide you with helpful hints when you need them. It can also stop you from going down the wrong track if the support comes at the right time. We provide support in return for payment. When I was a CAD Manager I noticed how often I had to support those in my team. And then to improve my skills I would turn to an expert on a regular basis. Now most of the companies that we train have less than 5 people in them. How do they get that level of support. They just don't have anyone to turn to, to be that expert. That's where Archoncad comes in, as part-time support. |
How Is Support Provided? |
| Support can be provided in a number of ways. The most common way of providing support is over the Internet using Skype or GoTo Meeting. Remote support is relatively new but we can see that this will be where support is going in the future. Remote support is the ability for you to have training delivered directly to your computer. It will be like having me next to you, but you will not have to wait until we are in your city. You will be able to get support more often, almost whenever you need it. |
| Imagine having someone on tap that you could call when you needed and answer. You'd only pay for time you spend on the phone. You could then get help when you needed, you wouldn't have to work out the answer, and you would have to waste your time on a course of action that was wrong. |
| Many of our clients really like this service. They just call us when they get stuck. Instead of wasting time looking for an answer, or worse, spending time going down the wrong track, they just call and get the answer that they need. |

| We have been providing support to our clients in New Zealand for 9 years. Over that time we have developed a close association with some of our clients, often helping them to change the way that they do business. We've been on hand to raise their level of competence with VectorWorks, and we've been on hand to answer their questions by phone, fax and e-mail. |

I am a Spatial Designer at Te Papa (The National Museum of New Zealand). In 2009 we upgraded our Vector Works software to 09 for the design team. To help us get the most out of the new software we have been having weekly, online tutorials from Jonathan Pickup. We have found these to be extremely useful and the most time and cost efficient way to up-skill a whole design team.
We are so happy with result that we have decided to continue the training on an ongoing basis. I would recommend online training with Jonathan for anyone who would like to quickly improve their skill level in Vector Works.
Yours Sincerely, Ben Barraud, Exhibit Designer, Museum of New Zealand
I am pleased to provide a reference for Jonathan Pickup and the VectorWorks training he provides through Architecture on CAD Ltd.
I had not used any CAD program before, and the task of learning this skill seemed daunting. It is now clear to me that a training program is vital to establishing early confidence. Architecture on CAD can provide this, and Jonathan is willing to tailor his ongoing service to your needs.
Most of all, I found him to have limitless knowledge of the Vectorworks program, and limitless patience with me as a slow pupil.
My advice is to do a fundamentals course, them jump into getting a real-life project drawn, while relying on Jonathan to get you over the inevitable hurdles you will come across. As you become more proficient, Jonathan can offer more specialised training courses.
I do not hesitate to recommend him for CAD training. Leigh Marshall Architect |
